So many sources, so little time! Know this: anything that provides pleasure, love, identity, comfort or belief can also exact tremendous pain.

Emotional, physical, social – it is the great disruptor and can feel limitless in its scope. A constant companion to Loss, it is one of Life’s most effective teachers. If it hurts, it will heal – a stinging cliché. Understand that without it there is no measure for Joy or Love, of how far one has journeyed or can go. As inescapable as its relief, it presents the milestones and millstones of a life. It is bridges crossed, not burned though one might. It is the fire from which one arises renewed.
